The Adya Project began in 2020 when three generations of women - grandmother, mother, and daughter opened their home to migrant women seeking hope during the pandemic. What started as conversations over chai evolved into something extraordinary: a movement where discarded fabrics become beautiful products and forgotten skills become sources of dignity.
Today, TAP transforms textile waste into thoughtfully crafted upcycled bags, crochet items, thrifted pieces, and clothing. Each product carries the story of women who refuse to be defined by their circumstances, women who stitch resilience into every thread.
Our four migrant women artisans don't just create products; they co-create futures. Trained in our workshops, they transform factory surplus threads into delicate crochet work, breathe new life into deadstock fabrics, and prove that sustainability and style can coexist beautifully.
Adya means "the first" in Sanskrit, the beginning of something powerful. It's why we share our journey through daily moments on social media and deeper reflections through our written stories, inviting you to witness not just what we make, but how we're remaking the meaning of conscious fashion.
When you choose TAP, you're not just buying a product. You're supporting a legacy of women empowering women, one stitch at a time.
